Free To Play, What Went Wrong? PC

Not what we Paid for, but still excellent.

I understand we all wanted a open world Warhammer PVP mmo, it’s what we were sold and frankly we didn’t get it, however the lobby based third person shooter set in the Warhammer 40,000: universe is excellent, combat is smooth, the graphics while not amazing look pretty good, and overall the art design is one which remains authentic to the lore, sadly many players felt scammed and a hate campaign began which has destroyed the games already poor reputation.

The result simply left us with soon to be nothing, hate campaigns never work, they are immature and always hurt fellow gamers and the industry as a whole.

What should have been done differently?

The developers set their goals too big and promised a product they couldnt provide if the game has been advertised as what we have currently it would have had a smaller yet more positive pre-order period and overall would be in a much stronger position right now, as it stands backers felt they ordered a steak and received a hamburger.

Any future for Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade?

The developers would wish a future, they strive for a future, but honestly no, with matchmaking already take 10+ minutes at peak and almost every match is dead except Space marines vs Chaos Marines, the curtain call is soon coming for Eternal Crusade sooner than anyone of us would like.

Worth a play?

Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade is dying, the developers are trying to save it, there core playerbase are wanting it to be saved, but despite all this, the game is on a clear downward spiral, play now while you can, as the developers cannot work without pay or profit and servers cost money, perhaps 2019 will be the end for the crusade, only time will tell.
