Review: GemCraft – Chasing Shadows PC

Tower defence games are a dime a dozen and honestly no matter how many ways you skin or tweak them, they all function basically the same, Gemcraft is no exception, while its a solid and quick-paced tower defence game, there is nothing special about it beyond the rather dark fantasy setting, which may be of interest to some.

The game offers no real issues or problems, but on the flip side offers nothing substantial to the genre that hasn’t been seen before in multiple titles.

The ability to combine gems for different effects is excellent, but it’s not a game-changer nor a genre shaking addition to the tower defence formula.

Worth a buy?

No, as the game is available in flash format on the developers own website for free.
